Lauren and Jack are like peanut butter and jelly – both are good alone but together? Sheer awesomeness. We started out the day in the cabin at Five Oaks Lodge where the girls got ready. Lauren’s make up was done by Lynn George (M.A.C. Manager Woodland Hills Mall) – and what an artist she is! Then it was off to Kirk of the Hills church for pictures and wedding ceremony. Kirk of the Hills is a lovely church – so open and bright. Then back to Five Oaks Lodge for the reception.  The amazing Randy and Claudia Imel of Five Oaks Lodge also did the catering,  Ann’s Bakery created the cake, table arrangements and flowers were by Petal Pushers, Josh from DJ Connections set the mood with his incredible dj skillz, and Lauren’s dress was from Bridal Boutiques.  Oh, and how cool is this?  Lauren and Jack were married on the same day that her grandparents were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary!  The slide show of the wedding day is here:  Lauren + Jack.

Kelsie + Pete | June 12, 2008

They told me they needed me to photograph the reception, with a few family pictures just before. What they didn’t tell me was that they were actually getting married, but without the traditional ceremony. At some point (though I’m still not quite sure when) someone with the vested power gave them the okie dokie to be married, and they stole away to exchange vows and rings between themselves. I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but I saw their expressions, and I could tell these two were really in love and were meant for each other. The slide show of some of my favorites is here: Kelsie + Pete
