I was warned this session might be difficult because James Henry doesn’t like being photographed, but sometimes it just all comes together perfectly: beautiful engaging kids, great light, fantastic weather.  We spent some time at Woodward Park last week during the unseasonably warm weather and had a great time creating some portraits that turned out great!  A short slideshow of more of my favorites is here:  Annabel + James Henry

You can always tell how much time has passed by how big other people’s children have grown.  I did their family photos 2 years ago and since then the pack has grown to include one more!  Beautiful kids, beautiful family.

When photographing kids, it’s all about going with the flow, having a good time, and not putting any pressure on them to perform- to hold still and smile.  The real moments will happen, you just need to be patient and wait for them.  I spent about 45 minutes with Mathew and Andrew last week and real moments were happening left and right, no waiting necessary!  The slide show with more of my favorites is here:  Matthew and Andrew

Bryce and Quinn

I took my two youngest boys to the park and tried to get a picture for a Christmas card. They pretend to cooperate until just before I trip the shutter then they make monkey faces, or stick a finger in their brother’s eye, or stare blankly into space.
