Outdoor weddings in August in Oklahoma can be hot, but the weather for Sydney and Thomas’ wedding was spectacular.  They chose the front lawn of Sydney’s parent’s house for the ceremony and an under the tent reception.  The color scheme was bright and bold, and the flowers were unreal.  The slide show of more of my favorites is here:  Sydney + Thomas

We all have our comfort zones.  Today I threw mine out the window and headed downtown to stretch myself.  My goal was to take as many portraits in an hour as I possibly could by approaching strangers and asking them to allow me to photograph them.   I had six say yes, and four say no.   My first yes was a guy named M. Jackson.  He agreed without hesitation which for some reason took me by surprise.

I first worked with Scott and Valerie when I shot their engagement session and was really looking forward to their wedding day.  They chose the Dresser Mansion for the ceremony and reception and instead of having the traditional valet service, they chose to go with pedicabs to shuttle their guests from the parking area to the mansion.  The slide show of my favorites from the day can be found here:  Valerie + Scott.  Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!
